Fighting H.B. 56

Organizers from around the country joined the fight against H.B. 56 and helped affected communities know their rights....

Why Protest H.B. 56?

Alabama’s H.B. 56 is the latest example of states laws that only advance an agenda of fear and intimidation against immigrants. People around the country are committed to the fight to repeal Alabama’s law and build a movement for fair, rational and comprehensive immigration reform.

Why FIRM?

The Fair Immigration Reform Movement is a national coalition of organizations fighting for immigrant rights at the local, state and federal levels. FIRM first joined the fight against H.B. 56 by sending community organizers from around the country to support local communities affected by the law.
